Golden or Temmincks Cat

This forest cat varies greatly in color. It may be plain dark brown, red, or gray, or its coat may be striped above, with spots on the underpants. The face is always striped. It weighs around 32 pounds and is about four feet long, including its tail which is a foot and a half in length. It lives in west and central Africa, and is also found from southern China through Southeast Asia to the island of Sumatra. It is strong for its size and besides the small mammals on which it feeds it can kill calves, small deer, and birds.
